Flea & Tick Prevention

COMFORTIS - Chewable, beef flavored theablet that kills fleas and prevents flea infestations on dogs for a full month. Goes to work in 30 minutes, completely effective in 4 hours, lasts for one month. Safe for dogs and puppies 14 weeks of age or older. Give with food.
VECTRA 3D - Topical treatment which repels & kills ticks & mosquitoes & kills fleas for at least one month on puppies 7 weeks and kittens 8 weeks of age & older. Prevents development of fleas, flea eggs, larvae, and pupae. Kills fleas within 2 hours, 96% of fleas in 6 hours. Remains effective after bathing & swimming. Vectra for Cats kills fleas within 6 hours, but does not kill ticks.
FRONTLINE PLUS - Topical prevention which kills fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae & ticks. Begins to work within 24 hours. Each application lasts for up to 90 days on fleas and 30 days on ticks. Usually applied once a month. For dogs and cats 8 weeks and older. For bathing, use a non-detergent shampoo, such as Allergroom shampoo.
PROMERIS - Topical Treatment for control of fleas & ticks for 1 month on dogs 8 weeks and older. Waterproof. Also used in the treatment of Demodex Mange.
CAPSTAR TABLETS - An oral tablet for cats & dogs which kills fleas. Goes to work in 30 minutes. Lasts for 24 hours.
PREVENTIC COLLARS - (18 & 25 inch collars) For dogs and puppies over 12 weeks old. Kills ticks for up to 3 months.
Ovitrol Plus Spray - For dogs, Cats 12 weeks and older & Horses - Kills and repels fleas, ticks, lice, flies, mosquitoes and gnats. Kills flea eggs. Apply weekly.

Heartworm Prevention Information

ProHeart 6: Dogs - An injection given every 6 months to prevent heartworms. Pets need to be at least 6 months old and no older than 7 years old to be started on ProHeart6 injections. When started on ProHeart6, dogs can continue receiving injections after turning 7 years old. ProHeart6 also prevents Hookworms.
Interceptor: Dogs & Cats - Once-a-month tablet preventative. Pre-packaged in 6 month or 12 month supply. Also prevents Hookworms, Roundworms, & Whipworms (dogs). Heartgard Plus: Dogs & Cats Once-a-month preventative available in chewable form. Pre-packaged in 6 month supply. Also prevents Hookworms & Roundworms.
Revolution: Dogs & Cats - Once-a-month topical application. Available in 1 or 3 month supply. Also kills adult fleas, prevents flea eggs from hatching, controls some tick infestations, treats and controls ear mites, treats and controls sarcoptic mange in dogs. Also prevents hookworms and roundworms in cats.
Advantage Multi: Dogs & Cats - Once-a-month topical application for dogs & cats over the age of 7 weeks old and weighing more than 2 pounds. Prevents heartworms, kills adult fleas & treats flea infections. Treats ear mites in cats. Also treats & controls hookworms, roundworms, & whipworms (dogs).
